In short: read it, use it with your family, and do not republish it. The rest of this page explains what that means.

What you may do

Read the devotions here as often as you like. Print them. Read them aloud to your family, your small group, your class or your congregation. Email one to a friend or put a link to it anywhere you want. None of that needs permission and none of it costs anything.

What you may not do

Do not republish the devotions, in whole or in part, on another website, in an app, in a book or in anything you sell. Do not present them as your own work. Do not use them as training data or feed them into another product. The writing here is © 2026 My Family Devotion and all rights not given away above are reserved.

If you want to do something this page does not cover, ask. Write to me through the contact page and the answer will usually be yes.

Scripture is a separate matter

The Bible text on this site is the Berean Standard Bible, which its publishers released into the public domain. I do not own that text, and the restrictions above do not apply to it. Quote it freely, from here or anywhere else.

What is not offered

This is a devotional written by one person, and it is offered as it is. It is not pastoral counsel, and it is not a substitute for your own reading of scripture or for a church that knows you. Mistakes get through. The about page explains how the devotions are written and what I do when I find an error. If you find one, please tell me.

Changes

Devotions get corrected and new books get added, so this site will continue to change. If these terms change, the updated version will appear on this page. They were last reviewed in 2026.
