I am Matthew Pavey, and I run My Family Devotion. You can read the site without an account or signing up for anything. There is no newsletter, contact form, or analytics service. The hosting service processes some information when you visit, as explained below.

Cookies and your reading

The site does not save your reading history or use cookies to choose a devotion for you. Today's reading is selected from the date and is the same for everyone. The hosting service may set cookies to keep the site running reliably. These are separate from any advertising cookies described below.

Server logs

The hosting service may record ordinary request information, which can include an IP address, browser details, and the requested path, for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. I do not use those logs to build a profile of you or analyze your reading habits.

If you get in touch, I receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. Please share only what is needed to explain your question or correction.

Advertising

Advertising is currently switched off. The site does not load Google's ad scripts or request ads. Hosting cookies and server logs described above may still be used. If advertising is enabled later, this page will explain the data involved and your choices before ads begin.

Children

This site is intended for adults reading with children. It has no accounts or forms for children to fill out. If you have a concern about a child's information, please contact me.

Changes

If the way the site handles information changes, I will update this page before the change takes effect.
