Do Not Welcome the Deceiver
7For many deceivers have gone out into the world, refusing to confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

The letter has spoken warmly about truth and love, but now it names a danger that can enter through teaching: many deceivers have gone out into the world, and the letter identifies them by what they refuse to confess, the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh.
