How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony. The psalm compares this unity to precious oil running down Aaron's head and beard and to the dew of Hermon falling on Zion. Both images suggest abundance that reaches beyond one person.
There the LORD has bestowed a blessing: life forevermore. Harmony is not forced uniformity or silence about harm. It is a shared life in which people can belong without being required to pretend that injustice is peace.
